Every addiction arises from an unconscious dicision to escape feelings and move through our pain.
I remember the feeling of shame, Isolation, self loathing, helplessness, sadness, fear and guilt.
Millions of people around the world are immacted by Addiction. Myself included.
Addiction does not discriminate!
One of the hardest things was learning that I was enough and worthy of recovery.
Let this be a reminder that YOU are enough. Hope exists, and that better times can lay ahead if you do the work.
Remember, while the days may seem long while you’re in the midst of recovery, the payoff, the food freedom, and the self-relationship this journey can bring are well worth it.
The ocean will ebb and flow and, no, recovery is not linear, but this is your reminder to lean into your courage and not lose faith.
Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends of being the biggest step of your life.
